Verstraete Leads High School Third National Title
Nebraska 2019-20 freshman Kayla Verstraete completed her prep career by leading M.P. Harlem High School to its third consecutive national team title at the 2019 U.S. High School Bowling National Championship in Indianapolis, June 22-24.
Verstraete, who helped the Huskies from Machesney Park, Ill., dominate Circle Christian School out of Winter Park, Fla., in the championship match, finished sixth individually. In 2018, Verstraete won the U.S. High School Singles national title while leading M.P. Harlem to a championship.
Heading into her senior season at M.P. Harlem, Verstraete owned a high series of 777 and a high game of 299.
