RALEIGH, N.C. - James Green won the challenge tournament at 70 kg on Saturday at the 2019 USA Wrestling Senior Freestyle World Team Trials and will wrestle for a spot at Final X: Lincoln on Sunday.

Green began the day with a tight 5-3 decision over Mario Mason in the quarterfinal match. He then advanced to the best-of-3 championship match with a dominating 10-0 technical fall over Brandon Sorensen in 1:32.

Green will face Anthony Ashnault in the best-of-3 championship final. The championship final will be a rematch of the 70-kg bout between Green and Ashnault from Beat the Streets earlier this month. At Beat the Streets, Green was victorious in an 8-4 decision.

Dom Bradley went 2-1 on the day and will face Youssif Hemida in the 125-kg third-place match on Sunday. Bradley opened up Saturday with a 10-0 technical fall over Hemida in 2:25. Gable Stevenson defeated Bradley by decision (7-3) in the semifinal and Bradley bounced back with a 3-0 decision over Garrett Ryan in the consolation semifinal to advance to Sunday.

T.J. Dudley (NWTC) and former Husker Colton McCrystal also competed on Saturday, but were eliminated with records of 1-2 and 0-2, respectively.

Redshirt freshman Jevon Parrish wrestled Jarrett Trombley (North Carolina State) in the 61-kg third place match in the Junior Freestyle World Team Trials. Parrish led 4-0 early in the match but trailed 6-4 after the opening period. Parrish reclaimed the lead and went up 8-7 in the final minute and Trombley won the match with a late takedown in the final seconds. Parrish finished in fourth place after the 9-8 decision.
