Individual NCAA Competition Concludes 2019 Season
Fort Worth, Texas -- The No. 14 Nebraska women's gymnastics team official concluded its season Friday afternoon with senior Sienna Crouse and junior Taylor Houchin competing in individual competition.
Crouse competed in the all-around after finishing as the top all-arounder at the NCAA Ann Arbor Regional with a score of 39.600. Beginning on floor exercise, the senior from Fargo, N.D. got off to a great start after a stellar performance after posting a score of 9.875. The next rotation she would move onto vault where she stuck with a 9.7875, followed by a 9.875 on uneven bars. She would finish her career with a 9.85 on balance beam for an all-around score of 39.3875.
Houchin competed in the fourth rotation on vault where she stuck for a 9.7125.
No. 2 UCLA and No. 3 LSU were the two teams advancing to the NCAA Final Four on Saturday, April 20. No. 5 Utah and No. 7 Michigan failed to advance after placing fourth and third, respectively. In the second session, No. 1 Oklahoma and No. 4 Denver advanced while No. 8 Oregon State and No. 7 Georgia finished third and fourth.
