Dan Gusovsky enters his first season as an assistant coach with the William & Mary baseball program. He spent last year at Wheaton College in Massachusetts.
Gusovsky spent last season coaching at his alma mater Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts. In his one season with the Lyons, he helped them to a 25-win campaign, the team’s 16th straight New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) regular season title, and its 17-straight NEWMAC postseason appearance. As the team’s hitting coach, Gusovsky helped the team to a .306 batting average with 80 doubles, 14 triples, 15 homers, and 248 RBI. Under his guidance, five players garnered all-region honors at the end of the season.
As a player, Gusovsky played four years at Wheaton College (Mass.). He was named a NEWMAC All-Conference Second-Team, NEIBA All-New England Second-Team, and NEIBA All-Star game selection all following his senior season. He also served as the Lyons’ captain during the 2013 season. While at Wheaton, he was the leader of the team’s White Ribbon Campaign (community service) during the 2012 and 2013 seasons.
The Andover, Massachusetts native graduated with a degree in political science and a minor in economics from Wheaton in 2013. He went on to get a job at Roscoe Properties in Austin, Texas for a year before getting into the coaching ranks.
