Carey Goodman serves as the assistant director of athletics development and joined the staff in May, 2014. Goodman’s primary focus is raising money for the Tribe’s women’s programs, while she is also very involved with the “Friends” programs.
Goodman came to William and Mary from Ohio University, where she completed her Masters of Business Administration and Masters of Sports Administration (May 2014).
While in Athens, Ohio, she also had a variety of positions, with the most recent being the Race Director for O’Bleness Health System’s Race for a Reason. In that role, she was the main organizing force behind the fundraising efforts and was the lead in attracting event sponsors for the event. Additionally, Goodman also concurrently held the position of recruiting coordinator for Ohio University’s Center for Sports. This position saw her successfully recruit 35 percent of the students into the 2014 incoming class for the Professional MSA program.
She completed her undergraduate degree in sociology at Duke in May of 2011, where she also minored in Political Science and earned a Markets and Management Studies Certificate. Additionally, she was a four-year letter winner as member of the Duke’s varsity women’s soccer program. While in the Blue Devil’s program, she served as an administrative assistant within the athletics department and helped organize a wide variety of events.
