Beyond the team responsibilities, Skipper also helps oversee historical research in the Tribe archives, helping build online reserves of all-time rosters, statistics, honors, and the W&M Athletics Hall of Fame. He was named an honorable-mention SID of the Year by Swimming World Magazine in both 2007 and 2008.
Skipper graduated from W&M in 2005, with a degree in Operations and Information Systems. During his time as an undergraduate, he worked in Sports Information, and spent a semester on the crew team in the fifth or sixth seat. Skipper also spent two years as an assistant wrestling coach at Bruton High School, coaching several state qualifiers. Outside of work, his interests include architecture, history, technology, and travel. He is the proud uncle of two young men, David Jackson and Peyton Charles.
