Zac Zedrick returns for his third season at Miami. With a majority of his team returning and another recruiting class joining them, he believes that this will be the year the RedHawks take the next step.

"This is an exciting time for the program,” said Zedrick. “We bring nine players back from last year's team who have gained some valuable competitive experience during the past couple of years. We're at a time now where that experience can really begin to translate to the type of performance that matches what our program is working toward."

Zedrick came to Miami after spending three seasons as an assistant coach at Wichita State. While at Wichita, he helped lead the Shockers to the Missouri Valley Conference Championship each year. They also participated in the NCAA Regional each season and three golfers earned All-America status. Zedrick aided in all aspects of recruiting for Wichita, while serving as the tournament director for their home tournament, the Diet Pepsi Shocker Classic.

Prior to his time in Wichita, Zedrick spent two seasons as a Graduate Assistant Coach at Toledo. While there he helped with all aspects of recruiting as well as providing on-course instruction during competitions.

Zedrick was a four-year letterwinner for Michigan State University. He served as team captain in each of his final two years. He was a member of the Academic All-Big Ten team in each of his final three seasons with the Spartans.

Zedrick earned his bachelor's degree in communications from Michigan State. He graduated with High Honors. He earned his master's degree from Toledo in 2008 in recreation management with an emphasis in athletic administration. He lives in Oxford with his wife Amanda.
