Nebraska will be well-represented in Super Bowl XXXVII this Sunday at San Diego's Qualcomm Stadium. Three former Husker players are on the Oakland Raiders' roster for the game, while a former Husker player and assistant coach will be on the Tampa Bay sideline.

The AFC Champion Raiders have three Nebraska players on their active roster for Sunday's matchup. Defensive tackle John Parrella is in his first year with Oakland and his 10th season in the National Football League. Parrella finished the regular season as the Raiders' sixth-leading tackler with 45 stops and made four tackles, including a sack, in last week's 41-24 victory against Tennessee in the AFC Championship game. Parrella was a three-year letterman at defensive tackle for Nebraska from 1990 to 1992 and was a first-team All-Big Eight pick in both 1991 and 1992.

Lincoln native Adam Treu is in his sixth season with the Raiders. Treu is Oakland's backup center and starting long snapper. The Pius X graduate lettered for the Huskers from 1994 to 1996. Defensive back Eric Johnson is the third former Nebraska player on the Raider roster. Johnson, a reserve strong safety for the Raiders, lettered four years for the Huskers as a linebacker from 1996 to 1999.

Tampa Bay boasts the NFL's top-ranked defense, guided by defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin, who played at Nebraska from 1961 to 1963. Kiffin then went on to a 10-year stint as a Husker assistant coach from 1967 to 1976, under Hall of Fame coaches Bob Devaney and Tom Osborne.
