JOHNSON CITY, TENN. – Facing off with one of the top teams in the Southern Conference entering Saturday’s action, UNC Greensboro fell to ETSU 3-0 (13-25, 24-26, 16-25) to close out the weekend’s play.   

Three Things To Know
--Senior Emily Keilen and junior Maria Esch both posted 10 kills.  

--Freshman Gabriela McHugh posted 27 of the Spartans’ 35 assists on the night. 

--Senior Grace Howell led the Spartans in digs with 15. Sophomore Mandy Garvens also posted a double-digit dig total with 11. 

Up Next
The Spartans will remain on the road next weekend for a pair of matches in South Carolina, first facing Wofford on Friday night before tangling with The Citadel on Saturday. 

The 2019 season is a special one for the program, as UNCG volleyball is celebrating its 50th anniversary. The program hosted a special celebration during the weekend of Friday, Oct. 18 and Saturday, Oct. 19. The weekend included a program history celebration luncheon and recognition of several distinguished alumni from the program’s past.
