A 2019 graduate of Louisville, Kougoucheff begins his coaching career at Duke after closing his collegiate career with the Cardinals as a three-time All-ACC selection. As a junior at Louisville, Kougoucheff was selected to the NCAA Singles and Doubles championships en route to earning second team All-ACC honors. The 2016-17 campaign saw Kougoucheff enter the national singles rankings and go 22-17 overall. As a rookie, he posted a 20-17 singles ledger for the Cardinals, playing primarily on court two, and was named Louisville’s ACC Freshman Athlete of the Year.

For his career, Kougoucheff was ranked as high as sixth nationally in doubles play and as high as 36th in singles action. He served as a team captain for Louisville on multiple occasions and in 2018 was tabbed the university’s Junior Athlete of the Year. Kougoucheff concluded his career with the Cardinals with a 71-57 mark in singles and a 79-53 doubles record.

Previously, Kougoucheff has coached junior tennis players at the Boca Resort Tennis Academy in Boca Raton, Fla., and at the Club Med Port Saint Lucie Tennis Academy in Port Saint Lucie, Fla.

Kougoucheff graduated from Louisville in May, 2019 with a bachelor’s degree of Business Administration in Finance. During his collegiate career, he was a member of the All-ACC Academic Team and the ITA Scholar Honor Roll, in addition to receiving an Arthur Ashe Sports Scholar Award. He completed his prep career at Florida’s Cypress Bay High School, helping his squad to three state championships as a team captain.
