Prior to Duke: Competed in the main draw of all four Junior Grand Slam events ... at the 2016 Wimbledon Juniors, reached the Round of 32 in singles ... during the 2016 Australian Open Juniors, advanced to the singles Round of 16 ... a Davis Cup member in 2016 as well as Spain's singles and doubles champion in 2014 ... received a high ranking of No. 27 in the world junior tennis standings in 2016 ... captured the Mutua Madrid Open Sub 16 championship in May of 2014 after beating Carles Sarrio 6-2, 6-1 ... in June of 2014, won first ITF Junior world circuit title at the Epitok-Abris Cup in Budapest, Hungary, with a 6-4, 6-7 (4), 6-0 victory against Croatia's Domagoj Biljesko ... in final competition before enrolling at Duke, took part in the Germany F12 and F11 Futures events in August, winning three qualifying draw matches in both events to advance to the main draw ... during the Spain F11 Futures event in May of 2018, reached the semifinals of the doubles main draw and the singles Round of 16 ... owns a career-high ATP ranking of 1,323, achieved in October of 2018. 

Personal: Born Eduard Güell on September 6, 1998, in Roses, Spain ... son of Carme and Josep Güell ... older brother, Gerard, earned three letters (2013-14-15) in tennis at IPFW, receiving academic all-district and All-Summit League team accolades.
