Cougars Close Out Home Slate With Victory Over Coastal
MT. PLEASANT, S.C. – The College of Charleston beach volleyball team closed out its home slate with a 4-1 victory over Coastal Carolina on Friday.
The Cougars (8-6) won four of the five flights of play including seniors Melissa Morello and Kayla Tronick, who topped Alise Petersone and Natasha Sarovic in straight sets, 21-19, 21-19, in Flight No. 1. They are currently on a three-match win streak.
The Chanticleers’ lone point of the match came from a three-set Flight No. 2 duel with CofC’s Taylor Foley and Maddie Hills, 17-21, 21-19, 15-10.
CofC will next travel to the Fiesta on Siesta Key Tournament to be held on April 8-10 in Siesta Key, Fla. There, the Cougars will face Grand Canyon, North Florida, Florida Atlantic, Jacksonville and Florida Gulf Coast.
