CHARLESTON, S.C. - The College of Charleston equestrian team won the final IHSA show of the fall season on Saturday at Storybook Farms. The Cougars finished first with 36 points topping 10 other participating teams. Clemson followed with 35 points.

“We have been able to stay close to the lead in the regional standing throughout the fall season despite not winning,” CofC head coach Bob Story said. “The win at home really helped us close the gap on Georgia Southern. We are now only two points out of first place. The team rode extremely well today and it paid off for them.”

Annie Kuniansky (Intermedate Flat, seciton B), Jackie Lundsted (Novice Flat, section B), Sophie Meserve (Novice Flat, section C), Emma Berstein (Advanced WTC, section C) were all named class winners.

The team returns to action Jan. 30 as they travel to Greenwood, S.C., to take part in the Lander Show.
