Former Lady Monarch Jessica Miller Livsey begins her 10th season as an assistant coach for the ODU swim team.

Livsey helped guide the Monarch men's squad to a second place finish at the 2018 CCSA Championships, including a rookie of the year title to freshman Parker Harp. Ashley Brem became the first ODU female swimmer to win a title at the Conference USA Championship, winning in the 100 breaststroke.

In 2015-16, she helped Reed Mathews set school records in the 100 and 200 fly, win the CCSA Championship in the 200 fly and take 17th at the NCAA Championships.

In 2014-15, ODU finished in second at the C-USA Championships, led again by Mathews who recorded an NCAA B-cut time.

The 2013-14 season Sidni Hoxha won three events at the Conference USA Championships to advance to the NCAA Championships for the second time in his career.

Miller returns to Old Dominion after spending three seasons as an assistant coach for the Davidson Wildcat swimming and diving program. While at Davidson, Miller coached the distance swimmers, headed up recruiting efforts, and oversaw a majority of competition logistics.

Prior to Davidson, Miller served a two-year stint as an assistant coach at Allegheny College in Meadville, Pa, where she was responsible primarily for recruiting and the training program, with a focus on distance swimmers.

A 2004 graduate of Old Dominion, Miller was a four-year letterwinner in the breaststroke and distance freestyle events and a four-year CAA finalist in both the 100 and 200 breaststroke.

She resides in Norfolk with her family and has two children, daughter Lorelei and a son, Matthew.
