Mark Heider
Position: Head Coach
Hometown: Grand Island, Neb.
Alma Mater: Concordia University (Neb.)
Mark Heider begins his second year as an assistant cross country and track coach at USF. Heider graduated from Concordia University (Neb.) in 2003 with a degree in business administration and a minor in accounting.

Heider was a three time NAIA All-American. He currently holds the GPAC conference meet records in the 3000m Steeplechase and the indoor 1000m. Heider continues to train and for fun has begun running marathons. He competed in the Boston Marathon in April 2007

On June 3rd, 2007 Heider ran 62 miles over the course of 14 hours as a fundraiser for the Cougar track and cross country programs.
