What is the Bulldog Club? The Bulldog Club, chartered in 1974, is a non-profit organization committed to supporting the athletic program at Mississippi State University, primarily by providing scholarships for student-athletes and facilities necessary for the program. Athletics joins academics at Mississippi State to enhance the image of our university. Both go hand-in-hand to promote excellence. The athletic program needs your support as it strives to build the type of program which is first class in every respect. This is where you can have a very positive impact. In order to attract quality student-athletes, and to provide facilities necessary for them to successfully compete in the Southeastern Conference, your financial support is needed through membership in the Bulldog Club.
How is the money used? Contributions are used to provide scholarship support for student-athletes, both men and women, in each of the 16 intercollegiate sports in which MSU participates.
Why are contributions needed? Mississippi State University's athletic program has four primary sources of income: • Ticket Sales • Radio, Television, Bowl Receipts through the Southeastern Conference • Student Athletic Activity Fee • The Bulldog Club
General Information Name In filling out the application form, please list your name as you would prefer it in the football game program and on correspondence from the Bulldog Club. Your name on your Club membership should coincide with the name on your ticket order.
Parking Club members who purchase season football tickets may purchase a season parking pass for designated lots. Lot assignment is made by club level.
Matching Gifts Donors should check with their employer to see if they will match their individual gifts. Donors need to supply the Bulldog Club with matching gift forms for their specific company. If your employer will not match your gift to the MSU athletic program, please have them consider designating a matching gift to other university departments or to the university unrestricted.
Membership Year The Bulldog Club giving year runs from January 1 to December 31. In order to remain active, a member must complete their pledge by December 31.
Corporate Giving If you own a business or are in a position to influence corporate decisions, consider the possibility of your company doing some of your donating. Corporations can make contributions of up to 10 percent of their net income and have such gifts tax deductible. Business inventories designated as gifts are tax deductible. If your corporate income tax rate is higher than your individual rate, corporate contributions will produce greater tax savings.
