Holy Cross director of athletics Nathan Pine has announced that two of the Crusaders' games will air on the American Sports Network this winter. The men's basketball game against Lafayette on Jan. 11 will be televised at 7:00 p.m., while the women's basketball contest against Bucknell on Feb. 4 will be shown at noon.
The reigning Patriot League champion Holy Cross men's basketball team will have three games shown live on the CBS Sports Network during the 2016-2017 season, as part of the Patriot League's television package.
Holy Cross assistant men's basketball coach Joe Kennedy will be featured in an episode of House Hunters on HGTV this Wednesday, Aug. 24, at 10:00 p.m. In the episode titled "Newly Engaged Couple Disagree on First Home in Framingham, MA," Kennedy and his fiancťe (now wife) Karlee are followed while searching for a new home.
The College of the Holy Cross has named Dave Metzendorf its new director of men's basketball operations, as announced by head coach Bill Carmody. Metzendorf's primary responsibilities will include serving as the team's travel and video coordinator, in addition to assisting with recruiting efforts, summer camps and day-to-day office duties.
The Holy Cross men's basketball team will face the University of Massachusetts at the DCU Center on Sunday, Nov. 20, and tickets are now on sale! The Crusaders will be returning to the DCU Center for the first time in five years, and will face off with a UMass team which could be among the best in the Atlantic 10 Conference.
During his 43-year coaching career, more than half of which was spent at Holy Cross, his alma mater, George Blaney was a mentor to many. "He taught me how to be a coach, how to be a man, how to be a professional," Greg Herenda, an assistant at HC under Blaney and now the head coach at Fairleigh Dickinson, said before this year's NCAA Tournament.
The 2016 Holy Cross Basketball Society Golf Outing and Dinner is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 14, at Blackstone National Golf Club in Sutton, Mass. Holy Cross alumni, friends, and family are all invited and encouraged to attend.

Holy Cross director of athletics Nathan Pine and head men's basketball coach Bill Carmody have announced the Crusaders' schedule for the 2016-2017 season. The reigning Patriot League champions will play 12 games against teams which advanced to postseason play last year, and 17 contests against schools which posted winning records in 2015-2016. The slate also features a total of 13 regular season home games at the Hart Center and one contest at the DCU Center.
