Junior Zoe Matherne wrapped up the 2016-2017 season by competing in the 800-meter run at the NCAA Championship East Preliminary Round, held at the UK Outdoor Track and Field Complex in Lexington, Ky.
Junior Hannah Jeter, a member of the Holy Cross women's cross country and track and field teams, has been selected to the 2017 College Sports Information Directors of America Academic All-District I squad. The team is comprised of players from Division I schools in the states of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island and Vermont.

Once again this year, the College of the Holy Cross is a national leader in the academic success of its student-athletes. Holy Cross had 75 percent of its teams earn NCAA Division I Academic Progress Rate (APR) public recognition awards, the highest percentage in the country ahead of Gonzaga (73.3 percent) and Dartmouth (73.1 percent).
Junior Zoe Matherne has been named the C&R Tire Crusader of the Week, for competition from May 1-7. Matherne led the Holy Cross women's track and field team to a sixth place finish at the Patriot League Outdoor Championship.
The 800-meter, triple jump and 4x100-meter relay school records were all set.
The Crusaders return to action tomorrow for the final events of the 2017 Patriot League Outdoor Championship.
