The defense totaled eight quarterback sacks on the afternoon, led by junior linebacker Matt Johnson with three sacks. Junior quarterback Emmett Clifford scored the lone touchdown of the day on a two-yard run.

Six graduating seniors from the 2017 Holy Cross football team have been selected to the 2018 Hampshire Honor Society, as announced by the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame. The team is comprised of graduating seniors from schools across the country who were starters or key reserves and maintained a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20.

Thirty-one members of the Holy Cross football team have been selected to the 2017 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the conference office. Leading the Crusaders was senior tight end Jayke Simsheuser, who was named to the Academic Honor Roll for the fourth time during his collegiate career.

The Holy Cross football team has announced its team awards for the 2017 season. The awards were presented at the team's annual banquet, held on Saturday, Feb. 10, at the Hogan Campus Center.


Holy Cross head football coach Bob Chesney has announced the addition of 20 student-athletes to his team's incoming class for the 2018 season. Along with the 11 players who signed with the Crusaders in December, a total of 31 student-athletes will now be joining the squad in the fall.
