It is not often that student-athletes have the opportunity to play together throughout both high school and college. But three senior members of the Holy Cross football team safety and co-captain Luke Ford, offensive lineman James Murray and quarterback and co-captain Peter Pujals have been teammates for what will soon be eight years. They played together at Loyola Academy in Wilmette, Ill., for four years before coming to Holy Cross.

Cameron Featured In Worcester Telegram & Gazette

Defensive lineman Dewayne Cameron had two seasons, 2012 and 2014, of really tough luck at Holy Cross. In the second game of his freshman year, he suffered a torn meniscus when he was high-lowed by a pair of Brown blockers.

Football Ready To Begin 2016 Campaign

As the Holy Cross football team prepares to begin the 2016 campaign, the Crusaders look to be in prime position to contend for the Patriot League title. Holy Cross went 6-5 overall last season (3-3 Patriot League), good for its eighth winning record in the last 11 years. The Crusaders played particularly well down the stretch, winning four of their last five contests, and outscored their opponents by 102 points on the season.

Crusaders Host Annual Media Day

Holy Cross took a short break from football training camp on Friday morning, with the Crusaders holding their annual photo and media day at Fitton Field. Student-athletes and coaches spent the morning posing for photos and meeting with members of the media to discuss the upcoming season.

Kalif Raymond Making Headlines With Broncos

Holy Cross Football Opens Preseason Practice

The Holy Cross football team has returned to campus to begin its preparations for the 2016 season, and held its first practice session at Kuzniewski Field on the afternoon of Monday, Aug. 8. The Crusaders took the field with gusto for two hours as they began to hone their plays and solidify the lineup that will kick off the season on Sept. 3 at Morgan State.

First Pitch At Yankee Stadium Set For August 15

During the 2016 season, iconic Yankee Stadium will serve as the coliseum for the Ram-Crusader Cup football game, with Holy Cross squaring off against long-time rival Fordham. To celebrate this event, Holy Cross director of athletics Nathan Pine, head football coach Tom Gilmore and Iggy (the Crusader mascot) will take part in a ceremonial first pitch on Monday, Aug. 15, at 7:05 p.m.

Holy Cross Ranked Among The Top 100 Football Programs Of All-Time

Holy Cross has been ranked as one of the top 100 football programs of all-time by the Associated Press. The Crusaders check in at No. 85 on the list of the best programs of all-time, good for the fourth best ranking of teams which currently compete in the Football Championship Subdivision. Only Pennsylvania (No. 66), Cornell (No. 72) and Fordham (No. 83) placed higher among schools now in the FCS.

Holy Cross In The Spotlight At Patriot League Media Day

Holy Cross head football coach Tom Gilmore headed to the Green Pond Country Club in Bethlehem, Pa., on Tuesday to take part in Patriot League Football Media Day. Gilmore was joined by a pair of student-athletes, in senior wide receiver Brendan Flaherty and senior quarterback Peter Pujals.
